Pups in their new homes
My time with this litter in my home is over, but my life with them is far from it. I still enjoy the updates and pictures I get from their new families, and I'm also kept on my toes by Spunky. Everyone is pleased with their puppies and I couldn't be happier!
Pups at six month old
Words from the field
Tikka:
Tikka's been hunting Pheasant and Chukar this past season. Her owners couldn't be happier with the drive this girl has to find birds. She's a natural pointer and retriever and her dad is starting to take her out waterfowl hunitng on top of upland!
Charlo and Cecilia:
Both girls have been out pheasant hunting and the owners of these girls are pleased with their determination to haul pheasants that are almost too big for their mouths!
Spunky:
I've been hunting with Spunky a couple times this season (I haven't had a gun of my own so until I was able to borrow one I was a little stuck). This girl, though she had no finds of her own, never stopped. She hunted and hunted and hunted from the time she got out into the field to the time I put her in the truck. I look forward to the upcoming training year with her and plan to send her out with her father's trainer Ed Tilson this summer during his Montana training camp then trial her again in August at the Montana Brittany Club's anual Field Trial.
On top of that though I plan to take her to Ellensburg, WA to try and earn her JH title there just as her mother Tipsy had done in 2016.
Sage:
Sage has been out in the field a bit but so far to my knowledge her dad hasn't taken her out bird hunting yet. But she's being trainined to hunt for antler sheds and has even caught a wild turkey (yikes!)
Roger:
Roger was not sold to a hunting home, but he's certainly got the natural instinct to point anything that flies honestly. He's pointed tweety birds and even caught one for his parents!
